Soooo, I am not going to weigh in on politics until I feel the need. I can hear the collective sigh of relief from all two faithful readers...
Here's a sample of what's happening in our little world:
Mom's Birthday - November 4th - Happy Birthday Ma! (Yes, I did call) You don't look a day over 90... We Party Tonight!
Austin (my youngest) won the part of Edmond in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe which will be performed lat Winter 2009 for the Jacksonville Theater Guild. Pretty Cool!
Hunting News - Last weekend I went out with my buddy Mike K. to see if we could burn a little powder and bring home some small game. We were looking for rabbits and upland game birds. Not much luck - but he wanted to get some squirrels while we were at it. I shot one squirrel, he got a quail. Being the generous fellow that he is, he let me keep both (thanks a lot!).

My mom always told us - "If you shoot it, you eat it." So, ...... I did. I must say - the quail was no problem - love it, love it, love it! I was reluctant about the squirrel - but it was pretty good. Don't get me wrong, I'm not afraid to cook rabbit, and I've eaten a lot of other game, I was just a little iffy at first. But, it was really pretty good. I'm not eager to go out and get more any time soon - but it was really quite moist, pleasant and tasty. The cliche rings true - tastes like chicken! I have noticed one thing though... my tail seems to twitch now when I hear loud noises and I've been craving peanut butter.

A couple of thoughts...
I can barely eat chicken on the bone muchless Squirrel. But if you want to shoot a few more, you can come and kill the 9000 we have in our townhouse complex.
And congrats to Austin. What a part!
And thanks for keeping your rightwing, free market thoughts to yourself. They are so 2002. We're in the next phase of progress now. ;)
The squirrel was pretty good. You should buy a pellet gun and some stealth night vision goggles and get some practice on the one's in your complex.
I'll pass the word along to Austin.
Re: my free-market, right-wing politics being passe... - Whatever! :O
Keep the kid away from the Turkish Delight! I hear that stuff's addictive!
