Well I feel bad for the kid but heck I did it too. It hurt! But heck, it feels the same as when you stick your tongue to a Popsicle when its frozen and you accidentally yank it off.
You probably never experienced this first hand as a kid if you grew up in California.
I think everybody gets stuck to the jungle gym or other playground equipment at some time or another during a northern winter recess.
