Just a brief note. Busy as ever! We have Football starting (Sunday afternoon), Soccer starting (today there was a scrimmage and kick-off potluck), and the kids go back to school on Wednesday (hurrrray!) I have just two more nights for Lil' Abner, then we begin rehearsals for Disney's High School Musical (thankfully that will be in town!).
That being said, I have found a little time to post to my NEW BLOG - The Armchair Theologian. I hope and pray that this will be a forum for some interesting discussion. I welcome controversy, disagreement, questions and whatever else you decide to stir up within the comments. Bookmark it and check in often!
My first post might seem a little scary - just plod through it - it is something I started a few months ago, but decided not to finish and post here - thought it might be too boring for those accustomed to my usual "fishing updates".
Enjoy. I will be updating often. I have a lot I want to discuss.
Don't worry, it won't all be as dry as this first entry.

This first post is a discussion of the Jesus' Tomb expose on Discovery Channel. I was really disturbed by what I perceived to be some leaps in logic taken by these tomb-raider types (namely James Cameron). I ran across an article by Dr. Stephen Pfann in which he discusses the script on the main ossuary in question - that supposedly of Mary Magdalene. In researching the inscription, I disagreed with the original reading - it just didn't make sense to me. Dr. Pfann wrote a great piece on the matter - simplifying it beautifully. You may now read my take on his article (along with my own tidbits and observations.) I also made a link to his original discussion for you to check out. (I also "borrowed" some of his graphics - shhhhhh. Don't tell anyone).
